  • Market Insight & Positioning: Use your network and market intelligence to anticipate trends, influence strategy, and position Ramboll as a trusted advisor and thought leader in sustainable, high-performing buildings.
  • Performance & Reporting: Grow and maintain a balanced pipeline and orderbook, ensuring visibility and accuracy of opportunity data through Ramboll’s Client Relationship Management and reporting systems.

  • Growth Strategy: Develop and deliver the long-term growth plan for Ramboll Buildings in the North, identifying and converting high-value opportunities in line with the Buildings UK strategy.
  • Client Leadership: Lead and champion a structured approach to client management. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and collaborators, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work with Service Line Directors, Sector Leads, and the wider UK and global Buildings teams to align strategies, share insights, and foster a “single business” mentality across Ramboll.

About You

  • A highly networked business development leader with strong connections across the Northern property and construction sectors.
  • Proven track record in driving strategic growth within an engineering design consultancy or construction environment.
  • Exceptional communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and an ability to translate opportunity into delivery.
  • Passionate about client engagement, business growth, design excellence, and shaping the built environment.

You will get the support from the various Ramboll UK staff to successfully fulfil your role – including senior national & local leadership as well as marketing, administration & bidding support.
