Operations Supervisor - Plymouth - Plumb Centre

As an Operations Supervisor based in Plymouth, you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Support the Branch Manager with daily operational activities, ensuring the branch runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Oversee the warehouse and yard to ensure safe, compliant handling and storage of materials

  • Supervise, motivate, and develop branch staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork

  • Assist with invoicing and account queries and contribute to business planning activities

  • Maintaining fleet of vehicles

  • Ensuring all picking/ loading of deliveries is done in a timely manner

  • Forklift training provided

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. No weekend working.

And here’s what we’d like you to have: 

  • Team leader or management experience in a warehouse or operations environment.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including goods in/out, stock control, and order fulfilment

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team to achieve performance targets

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing priorities
