As a data analyst in Asda Brand you will play a critical role in ensuring that our team have data to support them making decisions that benefit our millions of customers each week. Working in the Asda brand team means that you will be able to look at data surrounding food safety, quality, product development, innovation, health and sustainability, as well as the performance of our products and our suppliers.   • Relevant experience in business intelligence, IT support, data science or analytics and/or degree in relevant field.

  • Knowledge and experience of PowerBI, SQL and Python.

  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Microsoft Azure would be desirable.

  • Experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas and PySpark would be a plus.

  • Experience acquiring structured, semi- structured and unstructured data from various sources, including databases, blob storage and API’s.

  • Experience in both producing datasets and reports for analysis and presenting findings and making recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Employ Databricks for collaborative data exploration, manipulation, and visualisation.

  • Engage in all stages of model development, from conception to deployment and monitoring.

  • Communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, find insights from data and through experimentation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A team player who is also capable of working independently when required.

  • Familiarity with machine learning, statistical analysis, A/B testing, and predictive modelling techniques would be advantageous.
