The Role
There is no better way to experience what a career at MarketAxess has to offer than through our 9-week internship program. As a 2026 summer intern within the Post Trade and Operations team, you will grow your skills through on-the-job training and professional development classroom training. You will participate in projects, work on solving problems, provide community service through our charity partners, and enjoy social events. Our summer internship program offers the opportunity to build new skills and grow your professional network whilst providing an in-depth insight into career possibilities at MarketAxess.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- The Post Trade and Operations intern will be immersed in a rotational program within the MarketAxess Operations and Post Trade teams.
- In each rotation you will learn the main functions of the groups and how the business is supported through each team.
- Interns will be able to develop a well-rounded view of the Operational and Post Trade structure within MarketAxess, with a focus on the team’s vital role in customer experience.
- At the end of each rotation, you will have acquired a good understanding of the MarketAxess Operations and Post Trade systems. You will understand the criticality of the Operations and Post Trade teams’ daily responsibilities. As well as experience first-hand the importance of maintaining work accuracy and quality.
- Following each rotation, you will be given the opportunity to offer suggestions for any improvements you have identified, with a focus on automation opportunities.
What We’re Looking for
- Penultimate year student (graduating in 2027) on track for a minimum of 2:1 with right to Work in UK
- Competence in any additional European languages will be welcomed
- MS Office Competency, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Eye for detail coupled with analytical skills and critical thinking abilities
- Highly focused, organized and detail oriented
- Ability to take initiative and deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and change
- Ability to form and build strong working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with confidence in front of clients and colleagues
