JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Premium Audit Supplier Analyst, under technical supervision, contributes to the execution of CNA Premium Audit service and supplier management activities including consulting, performance trends, issue management, corrective action plans, and process improvements for all assigned suppliers . This role will work with suppliers to support Premium Audit and Support teams. The role will have accountability for coordinating moderate complexity business requirements and the sourcing negotiation and contracting for new/potential suppliers specific to Premium Audit needs and environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Premium Auditor working with vendor workflows, negotiating contracts, and possess a solid understanding of pricing, policies and procedures. The is a remote position an may be located within the continental United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

  • Demonstrates experience and strong understanding of Premium Audit functions including policy classifications, exposure base inclusions/exclusions, status of subcontractors, subcontractor cost allocations, business and final customer relationship, and audit of the overall business.
  • Supports Premium Audit & Support teams by identifying their product and service requirements, and providing supply market insights to form short to mid-term views.
  • Provides input into the appropriate strategies and levers to procure products and services at the optimal terms and pricing using deep knowledge of Premium Audit vendors, pricing strategies, and workflows This includes participation in identified sourcing strategies.
  • Creates standards by which vendors will conduct work on behalf of CNA, ensuring procedural documentation, training, timely transition of tasks, appropriate quality, time service, and customer service expectations are set. Monitors for adherence and initiates corrective action, as necessary.
  • In partnership with Premium Audit leadership, acts as a liaison with necessary groups to obtain approval of contracts according to the agreed upon terms and pricing; this includes but is not limited to Operations Leadership, Line of Business, IT and Procurement.
  • Manages supplier relationships utilizing the three categories outlined in the procurement policy of supplier management including Relationship Management, Risk Management, and Performance Management.
  • Manages suppliers' service effectiveness to ensure that related goals and contracted service levels are met or exceeded.
  • Manages all supplier relationships and investigates issue management including identifying problems, root cause analysis, and securing relevant information. Escalates issues to more Premium Audit Leadership, as necessary.
  • May provide financial oversight including overtime cost, invoice validation and service credit monitoring.
  • Acts as a change agent to others.
  • Assist with timely completion of policy premium audits when necessary

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of corporate auditing practices, procedures, and principles and of the insurance industry, the organization and departmental functions and operations.
  • Solid knowledge of statutory and other complex accounting principles, practices, and procedures well as knowledge of departmental sourcing practices and procedures as they relate to the organization.
  • Solid knowledge of the General Liability, Workers Compensation and Business Auto Liability functions and procedures, including state and regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills. Must be self-directed.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and interact with internal and external business partners.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, accounting systems and applications as well as other business-related software
  • Ability and willingness to travel


Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2. Typically, a minimum of three years' work experience in supplier management.
3. Typically a minimum of three years of related experience in Premium Audit
4. PAAS Certification preferred
