Job Summary

Working as part of the Product Management team, this role is all about working with the ideas of the team to create beautiful and functional prototypes that guide the ideation process through to handoff to the engineering teams.  

Such prototypes need to be functionally complete to demonstrate not only the end-user experience, but also the application architecture. The role requires being comfortable working in multiple languages, with many frameworks, and with multiple backend technologies to create working and engaging user experiences that illustrate the direction of the product. 

This role will require not only a self-starting and sustaining individual, but one who is open to constructive discussions across both the internal Graphcore community as well as the external ecosystem – this will be crucial when refining ideas, product concepts and prototypes into final products. 

The Team

The Product Management team at Graphcore is responsible for defining the overall product vision. This includes market research, customer feedback, managing requirements and roadmaps across functional teams and acting on feedback and data analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Taking ideas through to working deployed prototypes.
• Fast-iterating these ideas and prototypes with both the product team and the broader community within Graphcore.
• Stay up-to-date and immersed in the AI/ML software ecosystem in order to translate and match Graphcore software to the needs of that ecosystem. 
• Liaising with customers and the ecosystem and bringing these learnings into the product team and associated prototypes. 

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Demonstrable full-stack development experience including one or more modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Cloud-Ops experience in deploying and managing web apps on one of the major hyperscalers.
• SQL design and deployment experience with one of the major implementations (e.g. PostgreSQL).
• Strong leadership and communication skills – this role not only requires designing and building prototypes, but also then communication and leading development teams in creating the end products. 

Desirable 

• AI/ML experience in either training or deploying models
• Kubernetes knowledge
• Mobile application development
• IoT/embedded development
