We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Fidelity Ireland under the Institutional Wealth Management Solutions (IWMS). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high value products that support our customers in providing excellent financial solutions. Must be a self-starter, take the lead and be able to work well with others, and communicate software changes to business partners, system analysts, QA engineers, etc.
The Expertise We’re Looking For

- You are experienced with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks. 8+ years of experience working with Java, Springboot, REST API Microservices, Kubernetes, Lambda, AWS)
- Experience with UI technologies (Angular, Javascript, Bootstrap, React or other UI framework)
- You have hands-on technical leadership experience leading and mentoring scrum teams focused on building software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed experiences.
- You have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence in meaningful discussions with partners across business and architecture.
- Application design & development experience across the following:
- Experience with build, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
- Consistent track record of leading teams in delivering full-stack technology solutions.

The position aligns to the Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) division of Fidelity Brokerage & Operations Technology (FBOT). IWMS group provide solutions in the Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) and correspondent clearing marketplace. Our engineering team provides software engineering, application development, project management, systems analysis, and production support for the flagship applications. Institutional Wealth Management Solutions (IWMS) group provides technical solutions for the Fidelity Institutional Business (FI). Our team is part of a long-standing Ireland presence across Dublin and Galway with plenty of opportunities for collaboration.
