We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our Product Yield Group engineering team, focusing on key semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly in the edge profile and jet etch areas. In this role, you will ensure product quality and efficiency while contributing to process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to refine their skills and grow within a dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Supporting manufacturing processes for high power semiconductor products

  • Supporting certain product lines through the factory

  • Ensuring smooth flow of product through key processes

  • Creating recipes and programs, proving their effectiveness on production machines

  • Investigating process issues

  • Investigating certain product related issues

  • Using Process Improvement techniques, such as DMAIC, to ensure high yields are maintained

  • Identifying and evaluating new manufacturing techniques that align with the company goals

  • Supporting lean manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen

 

Essentials:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent technical experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in process engineering

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis techniques

  • Experience in yield analysis and formulating yield improvement plans

  • Experience of lean or Six Sigma

  • Team player

  • Must have good communication skills and able to liaise with various internal departments and with suppliers

  • Computer literate, proficient with a wide range of software packages

  • Ability to manage own work priorities

 

Desirables:

  • Experience in electronic or semiconductor manufacturing

  • Green belt six sigma trained

  • Experience in semiconductor diffusion processes

  • Have previous experience in a quality improvement role

  • Experience in using Access databases
