JOB TITLE: Product Manager - Credit Cards

LOCATION(S): Chester / Manchester / Cardiff

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
About this opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Credit Cards New Product Development team. This newly-formed team is responsible for shaping segment-led product strategy and E2E customer-centric products and propositions for credit cards, with P&L accountability for said products.
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you'll be responsible for designing, launching and enhancing products that meet customer needs around travel and rewards. You'll partner with our Platform and Engineering teams, Everyday Banking and other Credit Card product teams to deliver the travel and rewards product strategy, and Customer Propositions team to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and objectives.
 

The Credit Card business is looking to transform and is entering an exciting new partnership phase with Visa, so there couldn't be a better time to join us!

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and launch new products and propositions to support customers’ travel and rewards needs across both mass market and affluent segments.

  • Work with Customer Propositions and Everyday Banking to drive customer engagement and product usage, across the travel ecosystem.

  • Identify gaps in the market or segments where LBG are not currently achieving natural market share, through analysis of internal and external market data.

  • Manage product experiments to validate proposition hypotheses, providing fast learning, shaping design and enabling delivery at pace.

  • Deliver products at pace in collaboration with Labs and other teams across the bank.

  • Work closely with Acquisition and Engagement team in cards to define segment-level pricing and distribution for product, delivering good commercial and customer outcomes.

  • Work with partners across the business to ensure proposition is fully aligned to risk appetite, policy and Consumer Duty, whilst maintaining competitive edge.

  • Provide thought leadership to drive innovation and customer-centric propositions, considering industry and economic information, market intelligence, customer/sector behaviour, emerging technology and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need

  • Product and proposition development: Track record of successfully delivering end to end products and propositions to the external market. Experience in credit cards or personal current accounts is a plus (desired).

  • Strategy development: Experience in successfully delivering and deriving strategy and implementing strategic plans.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication: Ability to build concise and logical storyboards suitable for a senior audience and deliver complex messages in a concise manner.

  • Delivery: change focused mentality connecting numerous teams both in and outside of the organisation to delivery large-scale, complex value releases to our customers through expect application of agile methodology and standard process

  • Analytical skills: able to access, interpret and use data and information

  • Stakeholder management: Able to maximise relationships in order to support successful delivery of new propositions.

  • Customer Centricity: promoting the value of customer outcomes with team and peers.
