Location: UK Birmingham, this is remote working with travel as per Project needs

Your responsibilities:
Technical Support: Lead technical support for tendering and execution of customer projects. Prepare bill of quantities for engineered items. Participates in project review meetings.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for for overall system design of offshore and onshore substations. Develop power supply system architecture and perform sizing calculations for substation systems.
Project Management: Manage and lead all engineering activities of the project or tender. Create work plans and cost estimates for engineering tasks. Coordinate with internal and external partners and sub-suppliers.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales and tender management, project management, project site installation and commissioning teams. Lead and attend discussions with customers, handle queries, and take necessary actions.
Procurement Coordination: Prepare specifications, check supplier offers, and coordinate with supply chain management for procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Risk and Opportunity Management: Support risk assessments and report potential risks. Conduct Safety Observation tours to report potential Health, Safety, and Environment hazards.
Customer Interaction: Coordinate activities for customer acceptance and provide relevant information.
Your background:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, in utility/ industrial High & Medium Voltage substations, offshore experience required.
- Proactive, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as reliability and ability to work under pressure.
- Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties and stakeholders at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including knowledge in BIM.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and a high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
