Role Summary
The QA Analyst is responsible for supporting the quality of software components across the platform through planned testing activity before release into system integration and user acceptance environments. The role writes and executes test cases, works with development teams to investigate and resolve issues, and supports quality assurance processes and plans throughout the software development lifecycle.
What you will be doing
- Carry out end-to-end, regression and user acceptance testing across relevant systems and releases.
- Design and create test scripts to cover business and technical requirements.
- Execute and maintain manual regression packs independently.
- Support agile delivery through daily stand-ups, story ownership and collaboration with development teams.
- Identify and create test data for different testing phases.
- Provide clear reporting on test execution and testing status.
- Document, track and escalate defects and issues using Jira or similar tools.
- Support the implementation of new QA processes and release plans.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members where required.
- Carry out other duties reasonably required for the role.
What we are looking for from you
- Good understanding of manual testing principles and quality assurance practices.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Experience using test management and project management tools.
- Knowledge of QA planning, scripting and execution.
- Awareness of deployment tools and pipelines, such as Octopus.
- Good understanding of the product, platform and wider software delivery lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively with others and communicate testing progress clearly.
- Awareness of current and emerging technologies and willingness to contribute to improvement initiatives.
