We are looking for a QA Engineer passionate about improving the quality of applications in the streaming video space. You will be part of a remote-based team, reporting to the VP of Infrastructure and QA, working to raise the bar for quality and reliability in a high-scale video distribution platform. The ideal candidate will have experience using both automated testing tools and manual techniques to test applications across various platforms, with a sharp eye for functional, visual, usability, and performance issues.

Goals

  • Perform testing on front-end applications across a wide variety of platforms, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Utilize both automated testing tools and manual techniques to uncover functional and performance limitations before customers do.
  • Contribute to defining and enforcing quality standards for new releases.
  • Collaborate with developers to set, measure, and enhance quality goals in a continuous improvement framework.
  • Identify candidates for test automation and work with other engineers to design and implement automated tests.
  • Analyze production issues and engage in regular reviews to improve QA processes and prevent future defects.
  • Take pride in discovering defects that previously went undetected, helping to elevate product quality.

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of professional experience with QA processes, working alongside a development team.
  • Experience using test automation tools, ideally for mobile platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying and documenting defects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, comfortable with video calls and online collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video streaming applications.
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with security testing best practices.
