Excellent opportunity for an early career professional to move into HR. You’ve either graduated in the last 2yrs, or taken an alternative route, the common trait of applicants we will speak to is you want to be excellent at something.

You need to be smart, curious, and competitive to be excellent in what you do. You need to have hobbies or interests outside of work and good social skills. This role is 50% HR admin, and 50% leading on key recruitment initiatives, with career sponsorship from the Chief People Officer to become an HR Business Partner within 2 years. If you are willing to work hard you will get other exposure. Only apply if you wish to be the best.

Opportunity for someone early in their career to learn and grow into an HR career path. I do not mind if you went to university, but you must be bright and driven with an excellent command of English. This is an early careers role with coaching, so you should not have graduated more than 2yrs ago (don’t mind if you never went to uni). Key traits we are looking for:

It doesn’t matter if you have considered working in HR before, you must love enabling people to be their best work self. I will train you up to grow into an HR Business Partner role within 2yrs, but there is a lot of hard work to get there. The ideal person, is naturally bright, gets on well with people, is a self-learner, and wants to succeed.

Purpose 
Recruitment at Atomos means finding the best of the best, and moving fast. This is a great role for someone at the early stage of their career to learn commercial HR. 50% of this role is recruitment, 50% of this role is administration... however, the value you deliver is judged via the recruitment side of the role.

You will coordinate recruitment, phone-screen candidates, and support the HR team with administrative activities. We pride ourselves on a high end tech stack and you will also be expected to contribute ideas on how to automate HR admin in a way that improved the employee experience.

Person Spec

  • You can tell compelling stories to candidates.

  • Self Learner – when you get stuck, you figure out ways to close your knowledge gap.

  • You believe for success, discipline is more important than motivation.

  • You have a positive disposition.

  • You are tech savvy.

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate candidates for interviewing.

  • Phone-screen candidates for culture fit and identify who the high performers are.

  • Create compelling job adverts to attract high performing candidates – we do not mind if they put off low performers.

  • Administration of employment contracts and new joiners.

  • Curious how to use our recruitment and HR systems to improve the employee experience.

  • Manage the onboarding journey for new joiners.

  • Ensure candidates are fully screened via our outsourced provider and flag concerns to the Chief People Officer.

  • Support Chief People Officer routine tasks such as assessment reviews, Culture Club, and Data Dashboards.

  • Deliver ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Chief People Officer - e.g. policy reviews, process charts, and responding to audit queries.

Skills

  • 1yr in an office environment (apprenticeship, placement year, or you’ve already been working).

  • Excellent verbal communication, you like listening, and can describe things vividly.

  • Excellent command of verbal and written English – you must be able to adjust the tone of job adverts to suit the audience.

  • AI literate to solve problems (e.g. copilot).

  • Pro-active, not content with things not being better, will contribute numerous ideas to solve pragmatic problems.

  • A preference to learning by getting involved.

  • Commercial savvy, realising HR is aiming for the win-win between business needs and employee wants.

  • Hyper organised, able to work on a range of projects, and understand sometimes you have to put extra work in to hit your deadlines.

  • Happy to attend the office 4 days per week – you authentically believe in the value of in-person presence.

  • Sense of humour.
