The Regional Head of Marketing will strategize and lead marketing efforts specific to the French market, including content localization, brand awareness, lead generation, and managing a small team. As Ahrefs continues to experience strong growth, particularly in the French market, we are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Regional Head of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts in this strategic region. Reporting directly to the Head of International Marketing. This is a brand new role that will be a key part of our passionate and talented global marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the driving force behind Ahrefs' marketing efforts in the French market, taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of the marketing mix
- Develop and execute common sense marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition
- Directly manage the creation and localisation of content, including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and other digital assets
- Manage all French related marketing activities including content creation, events, partnerships, and public relations.
- Lead efforts in educating the French market in SEO best practices, placing Ahrefs front and center.
- Organise and participate in key marketing events, such as networking events, conferences, and customer meetups, to build relationships and generate leads
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities and continuously optimize marketing initiatives
- Build out and manage a small, agile marketing team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure efficient and effective execution
- Report on market performance to senior leadership
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry
- Good knowledge in using Ahrefs product and understanding of its application in the French market.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the French market
- Excellent content creation and digital marketing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality assets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal
