Role Description

The Regional Head of Talent Acquisition, Europe serves as the strategic liaison between business leaders, HR Business Partners, and the recruitment function, ensuring hiring strategies align with business priorities and expectations. This role owns talent acquisition within the assigned region and provides expert guidance on recruitment strategy, market conditions, and talent availability, and oversees recruitment delivery across internal recruiters, RPO partners, and external vendors.

By leveraging analytics, talent market trends, and search performance metrics, this role identifies risks, highlights opportunities, and supports proactive workforce planning. The role plays a key part in strengthening talent pipelines and enhancing overall recruitment effectiveness within the region.

The ideal candidate is an experienced TA leader who can combine strategic perspective with operational oversight, influence stakeholders through data, credibility, and strong business partnerships, and has previous experience managing a small team of people.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison and trusted advisor to business leaders and HR Business Partners on talent acquisition priorities and hiring strategy.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and the Talent Acquisition ecosystem to align workforce plans, hiring strategies, and business needs.
  • May be required to individually carry and fill some key regional requisitions.
  • Lead recruitment strategy for the region, ensuring alignment between business priorities and recruitment delivery.
  • Oversee recruitment delivery across internal recruiters, RPO partners, and agencies to ensure effectiveness, quality, and accountability.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the RPO partner, providing guidance, managing performance, and ensuring alignment with business expectations.
  • Use hiring data, market insights, and external benchmarking to influence decisions, improve hiring outcomes, and guide leaders on talent availability and competitiveness.
  • Conduct regular reviews with business leaders and HR to assess hiring progress, identify risks, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide guidance on role scope, leveling, and hiring approach to ensure alignment with business needs and market realities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness, strengthen pipelines, and support proactive workforce planning.
  • Create and deliver regional dashboards, talent insights summaries and hiring quality reports for HR and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; professional HR certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including ownership of regional or functional hiring outcomes within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Previous or current people management experience (this role may ultimately manage a small team in the future)
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence senior business leaders and HR Business Partners, serving as a trusted advisor on workforce planning and hiring strategy.
  • Deep understanding of talent markets, recruitment strategy, and workforce planning, with the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable hiring plans.
  • Experience overseeing recruitment delivery models, including internal recruiters, RPO partners, and external agencies, with accountability for performance and outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience leveraging hiring data, market insights, and benchmarking to guide decisions and mitigate hiring risk.
  • Experience with enterprise ATS and talent technologies (preferably Workday), to drive reporting, process efficiency, and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives and scaling talent acquisition solutions across a region.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships across HR and business stakeholders.
