What Product and Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health
Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services.
Product & Solutions Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.
Job Summary
The Product Manager, Product & Solutions Marketing executes marketing strategies for products to differentiate Cardinal Health’s products and to grow revenue, market share, and customer awareness. Based on Marketing strategies and initiatives outlined by the Director, the Product Manager develops marketing content and campaigns for a variety of channels. This job coordinates cross-functionally to gain insights and alignment across relevant stakeholders, manages relationships with suppliers, and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Prepare focused growth plans for portfolio and drive execution through multi-functional collaboration
- Plan, manage and execute the overall marketing activities (including trade show exhibits) for assigned product portfolios for the responsible countries
- Coordinate with corporate marketing on branding strategies and implement marketing and branding activities for target markets
- Develop and manage marketing materials and brochures and samples
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive product & brand positioning
- Work in conjunction with sales & medical affairs leaders to develop Professional Education strategy, KOL engagement plan, and develop KOL network
- Drive customer experience and assess engagement scores to improve customer value
- Lead team trainings on products, procedures, processes, etc.
- Drive & participate in cross-functional processes like Portfolio Rationalization, Sales & Operations Planning, Supply Disruption / Customer Complaints Communication,
- Be the “face of the company” for customers by providing regular communication, addressing concerns, registering complaints, and leveraging opportunities to deliver customer satisfaction
- Work in compliant and ethical manner; always adhere to company policies & local regulations
- Gather various sales and market data to drive data-based decision making
- Team work to achieve individual and team’s goals
- Share best practices within the organization and participate in organizational activities
- Manage samples and activity related expenses within the agreed forecast and/or guidelines
- Support & participate in company events and drive Cardinal Health culture
- Be flexible and versatile in handling relevant mandates as assigned by the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Healthcare Marketing experience (majority in medical devices) working in matrixed multinational organization corresponding with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in Capital / Consumables marketing is advantageous

- Must have proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools
- Travel required ~ 15%-20%
