As a Securities Services Controls Management Vice President within the Business Control Management team, you will take a leading role in managing the risk and control framework of Global Custody's business. Your key responsibilities will include being an integral part of the Control Management team, focusing on compliance with CASS, and leading control engagement for our expansion into Digital Securities. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the end-to-end operating model, identifying key risk areas, and evaluating the necessary controls. Your role will also involve collaboration across various Securities Services products to ensure a cohesive service offering and support risk mitigation activities, including oversight of issue and action plans.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure CASS compliance with CASS regulations through robust control frameworks and regular audit
  • Support the end to end risk and control framework for Global Custody, ensuring adherence with the Operational Risk/CORE Standards
  • Lead control engagement for the expansion into Digital Securities
  • Identify key risk areas in the operating model and assess necessary controls
  • Work across Securities Services Control Management to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Support risk mitigation activities, including oversight of issue and action plans
  • Partner with various departments to ensure a consistent approach to control management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Exposure and interest in effective Risk Management approaches with a good understanding of the three lines of defence model
  • Knowledge of the role of a Custodian e.g. safekeeping of assets, settlement, tax, corporate actions, etc.
  • Experience in Controls, Business Management, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance or a similar role that has a risk and control focus
