The Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to join the Finance team of a high growth company, at an exciting phase in its journey. In this role you will manage the group’s annual audits, produce statutory accounts and group consolidation and support in all technical matters. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and/or Financial Controller, you will be a key senior member of the team. An ideal candidate will be technically strong, driven and enthusiastic, have exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks. A successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our financial health and compliance.
As a Senior Accountant you will:

Financial Reporting: Ownership of group consolidation and preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with FRS102

Audit coordination: Lead group & international subsidiary audits and manage relationships with auditors and local advisors. Coordinate audit requests within finance and the wider company

Management Accounts: Own the intercompany matrix across the group’s international entities. Work closely with the tax team on Transfer Pricing, VAT and other tax accounting. Perform equity based reconciliations monthly. Support Financial Controller on other month end close duties where required.

Process improvement: Improve efficiency of current processes and implement any audit recommendations

Documentation: Maintain all technical accounting memos and policies and keep the team up to date with new statutory updates

Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including supporting with tax fillings, VAT returns and statutory requirements

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accounting team members fostering a collaborative and development oriented environment
Requirements:
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who can display the below skills & experience:
Essential:
-
Qualified Accountant from a mid tier firm
-
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
-
Strong understanding of UK GAAP/FRS102
-
Previous experience completing a group consolidation and producing statutory accounts
-
Previous audit experience
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
-
Clear and effective communicator, verbal and written
-
A keen interest in technical accounting topics
-
Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
-
Ability to build great working relationships with all levels of the organisation

Organised with good attention to detail
-
Able to work independently and be proactive with solving problems

Hard working and willing to take on new challenges

Ability to look for efficiencies in all processes and drive change in a growing business

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry trends
Desirable:

Experience in technology industry advantageous

Proficiency in Accounting software Netsuite

Advanced excel skills [Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets]
