We are looking for a Senior Financial Crime Manager who will be responsible for delivering key activities that sit within the second line Financial Crime Prevention Framework.  Whilst the role holder will be expected to  set risk appetite, write relevant Policies and update aligned to legal requirements, conduct regulatory horizon scanning, and own  training and development material across all Quilter group legal entities, the role holder will be the SME for the QIP and QI businesses for the purpose of Business Wide Risk Assessments and Risk and Control support.

Key elements of the role:

  • Provide robust and independent guidance and advice on financial crime controls, acting as the Financial Crime Business SME for QIP and QI.

  • Responsibility and ownership of Financial Crime Policy & procedures, and supporting guidance for all relevant business areas, ensuring all material is aligned with regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Setting the Financial Crime Risk appetite across the group and working with the Risk function to ensure suitable KRIs are in place, aligned to risk appetite – measured and reported.

  • Participate in relevant internal financial crime focused meetings as required.

  • Carrying out Business Wide Risk Assessments, on an annual basis and preparing business unit risk profiles

  • Support the attestation of compliance with Group policies and standards owned by 2nd line Financial Crime.

  • Conducing horizon scanning and gap analysis of all changes impacting the financial crime framework, providing guidance to the business on the changes needed to comply.

  • Carrying out Financial Crime Policy/thematic monitoring across first line business areas

  • Responsible for creation and delivery of Financial Crime Training and Awareness programmes across the group, as and when necessary.

  • Identify opportunities to provide compliance support in a way that maximises added value and efficient use of resources.

Leadership

  • Uses in-depth knowledge and experience to support colleagues, promoting a climate of continuous improvement and ensuring best practice is applied across the function.

  • Provide support and mentoring to other risk colleagues, sharing learnings and experience to assist with their professional development.

About You

You will have:

  • An excellent level of understanding and experience of Financial Crime across: AML/CTF; Sanctions; Anti-Bribery and Corruption; and Fraud.

  • A minimum of five years’ Financial Crime experience, at management level, within a financial services 250FTSE company or above, with evidence of working on Policy, Regulatory changes and Risk and Control frameworks.

  • A relevant Financial Services and/or Financial Crime qualification.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills.

  • Excellent planning, analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills.

  • Strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • The ability to work well on your own or within a team.
