Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior FPGA Engineer to join our Cambridge engineering team.
Responsibilities:
-
Design, build, verification and debug of VHDL based FPGA solutions for new products
-
Working closely with other development disciplines to integrate FPGA solutions
-
Supporting architecture team in developing new system architectures
-
Configuration control & CI/CD processes for FPGA designs
-
Working in small high performing development teams
-
Supporting security evaluation process
Required experience:
-
Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or other relevant discipline.
-
3+ years proven track record in design and delivery of complex FPGA based systems.
-
VHDL RTL design.
-
Synthesis, place/route and timing closure.
-
Test verification and simulation methods.
-
Xilinx FPGA architectures (including SoC).
-
Integration and bring up of hardware systems.
-
Development on Linux & Windows based systems.
Preferred experience:
-
Intel (Altera) architectures (including SoC).
-
Verilog.
-
Range of software development experience including MATLAB, C, Python.
-
Design of cryptographic algorithms.
-
Product/device/security approvals knowledge.
Personal attributes:
-
Broad interest in embedded systems and awareness of latest industry developments.

Self motivated, able to take a concept through to a completed project.
