Job Description

NielsenIQ is seeking a highly talented, energetic Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to drive and protect NIQ’s reputation and market leadership. This individual should have superior communication and presentation skills and the confidence to interact with associates at all levels and a passion to tell stories that effectively engage our stakeholders. This is a multifaceted role that involves strategic planning, leadership, message development and direct execution of internal and external communication initiatives for key business pillars at NIQ. You’ll be part of a global communications team that drives regional alignment and enables activation in the regions around the world. This role reports to the Head of Global Corporate and External Communications, and requires a high degree of collaboration within the team and with colleagues across the business and functions we support. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute integrated communication strategies through partnership and strategic consultation with Commercial and functional leaders. Includes writing and editing materials, establishing timelines and recommending deliverables jointly with stakeholders. 
  • Support/lead initiatives for enterprise-wide messaging, significant organizational changes, restructuring, M&A, and more, to achieve strategic objectives and growth targets.  
  • Coordinate planning and execution of executive/leadership communications events, including town halls, live Q&A, and videos. 
  • Develop communications that align with corporate and communication strategies to provide a positive perception and understanding of how it engages and connects employees and external audiences. 
  • Determine and implement a communication strategy and plan for initiatives/projects identifying global narrative, C-suite messaging, creative story angles, and communication channels. Ensure narrative alignment across other aspects of marketing and communications i.e. Social Media, Brand, Thought Leadership, Events. 
  • Track performance metrics, assess channel effectiveness, and adapt tactics accordingly 
  • Foster a collegial atmosphere where collaboration thrives, and the team has “hands on each other’s backs,” adapting flexibly to the changing needs and priorities of the business. 
  • Foster alignment across cross-functional and regional communications teams 
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with colleagues at all levels within NielsenIQ. 
  • Mentor and learn from team members, promoting professional growth and a culture of excellence in corporate communications. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, with a preference for tech, tech-related, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or other industry with a high degree of complexity and wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • A proven record of effective communication and project management in business-as-usual circumstances as well as during large-scale organizational changes. 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a diverse portfolio of communication materials and understanding in deploying across traditional and contemporary communications channels. 
  • Experience in creating and managing comprehensive communications campaigns for both employees and external audiences, with proficiency in digital platforms and social media. 
  • The ability to quickly engage in our organization and business with enthusiasm, positivity, and humility. International work experience preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience with tools to evaluate and measure communication efforts; ability to communicate the success of activities and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Capable of performing well in a high-change environment and the ability to connect dots and manage through ambiguity with confidence. Ability to remain calm, thoughtful and positive-minded even in times of change. 

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $99,800 - $120,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
