Primary Purpose:
The Senior Platform Engineering Manager will play a critical role in developing, implementing & delivering enhancements to core data platforms and supporting the data & analytics ecosystems, applications and tools. The Sr Platform Engineering Manager will work closely with Platform Owners, Business Channel leaders, SMEs, Technology, Operations, Client Services, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Architecture and external suppliers/vendors. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining subject matter expertise for Data platform functionality geared around enhancing user experience, user adoption, or supporting Data platform issues identified by client service/support organizations.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help define strategic vision for key functionalities within ADUSA Data platforms.
  • Become a subject matter expert in data platform current and future architecture guidance "Data Lakehouse" that helps support our customers in a data domain centric ecosystem.
  • Help continuation of defining our data platforms standards, guidelines and recipes by working closely with both architecture and Platform Owner.
  • Partner closely with architecture to design, test, and deliver critical functionality to support strategic enterprise goals to enhance user experience, support line of business adoption, and meet internal/external mandates.
  • Leverage executive presence skills to influence senior business stakeholders and program leadership on roadmap prioritization decisions.
  • Provides oversight and holds team members accountable for following all compliance, Change Management and IT Security policies.
  • Lead a team of lean DevOps engineers in an agile environment to deliver cutting edge PaaS, IaaS and IaC solutions that help enable our customer base.
  • Lead a team of DataOps support engineers that provide 24/7 support to all our data platforms as apart of keeping the lights on for business use.


Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Technical field and Master's Degree in Technology and/or Business related field; equivalent trainings/certifications/experience will be considered
  • 8 or more years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology
  • 5 or more years of equivalent experience in an advanced role or technical capacity, leading teams directly or indirectly
  • 5 or more years' experience directly responsible for leading and managing an agile engineering team


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree advanced training and or certifications in relevant fields of study preferred
  • 5 or more years' experience in Agile teams and Product/Platform based operating model
  • 5 or more years' experience in leading teams or advancing technical capability in teams
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in DevOps or Azure DevOps
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in Databricks and or MongoDB
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in GitHub
