Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Director, Total Rewards-International, this new role will oversee and implement change initiatives in support of Insulet’s International business. The main focus of the role will be to project manage all Reward aspects of multiple new country set-ups each year; in addition, the incumbent will collaborate with HR colleagues to manage all significant, ongoing change to existing Total Rewards policies, processes and operations. This role requires a strategic and solutions-oriented thinker with excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to driving organisational change in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. This position will build-out and own all Total Rewards-relevant sections of the “New Country Playbook” for the International business.
Total Rewards Change Management
Collaborate with the wider Total Rewards team, as well as colleagues in HR Operations, Legal, Finance and the support business, to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and minimize resistance.
Draw on market benchmarking, professional sources and internal consultation to conduct feasibility studies, and generate options for change as well as associated cost estimates. Assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders and resources required for each project.
Create and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, risk logs and action plans. Hold key stakeholders and collaboration partners accountable for timely delivery of their agreed actions, whilst ensuring flexibility in the face of change in circumstances or priorities.
Represent the Total Rewards function at project meetings, workshops and planning sessions. Liaise between project teams and the wider Total Rewards team and ensure the project is adequately supported by Reward colleagues.
Actively participate in learning reviews, leading on all Reward items. Where relevant, conduct impact assessments and/or seek employee and partner feedback to assess the success of projects delivered; ensure learnings are captured for future projects.
Specific Change Projects may relate to:
- New Country Entry
Collaborate in the establishment of new country employing entities, coordinating their integration into the existing reward, HR services, payroll and HRIS frameworks. This includes working with SMEs and external advisors to ensure that all aspects of the new entity setup are considered and addressed, and to safeguard compliance with local employment laws and tax regulations.
- Process Improvement
Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing reward processes for the International business, partnering closely with the relevant partners, stakeholders and external providers. Collaborate in mapping new and existing processes, and improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Change Advocacy
Partner with colleagues, collaboration partners, managers and employees. Provide coaching and support where required to help them support and adapt to changes.
Work with the relevant professional resources, internally and externally, to develop and ensure delivery of training programs and materials to support change initiatives.
Communicate change initiatives clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Resource Management
Cultivate close working relationships with internal and external partners, including benefit brokers and other professional services providers, while maximising the value for Insulet and employees from these relationships. Support negotiations with new and existing providers, and ensure the smooth onboarding of new vendors, for example, benefit providers.
Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in business, HR, change or operations management, or similar
Proven track record of delivering change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, and at pace. Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with international compensation and benefits programs
Ability to work independently to solution complex reward issues
Ability to coach, mentor and manage less senior team members
Strong analytical and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into clear direction and guidance. Skill in handling conflicts, maintaining a focus on getting the job done
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Certification in change management and associated methodologies, e.g., Prosci, PRINCE2, ACMP, Six Sigma…
Relevant experience in international Human Resources within public company environments with broad exposure to some or all of: salary management, incentive compensation, employee benefit plans and vendor management, HR policy writing, payroll and global mobility
Competent in benchmarking and job evaluation. Experience with Aon-Radford, Mercer and WillisTowersWatson surveys and methodologies particularly desirable.
Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and/or Hi Tech sectors
Compensation, benefits, job evaluation and/or HR certifications desirable.
