What you’ll own

The Senior AI Engineer – AI Integration and Full stack – at Worldpay acts as the critical link between AI and real-world implementation.

As an AI/ML Engineer in the AI and Innovation Team within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company's generative AI capabilities. This position involves contributing to the development of a sandbox environment for experimentation, building and programming AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), and actively participating in the creation of impactful use cases. The AI/ML Engineer will work under the guidance of the Senior Director, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions across the organization.
This role combines backend development, platform engineering , AI integration and MLops to deliver robust, end-to-end pipelines that integrate AI models and agentic workflows into scalable, production-grade fintech solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role with cross-functional responsibilities across AI infrastructure, backend systems, and agentic orchestration—ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
You will develop core versions of software applications , Identifies requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software.

You will have experience in AI/ML development required and demonstrated proficiency in AI/ML programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Familiarity with developing and maintaining applications within cloud environments AWS, Azure, GCP

• AI/ML Product Development
  Lead the full lifecycle of AI/ML products—from architecture and model training to deployment and maintenance. Build scalable systems, manage registries and feature stores, and operationalize models using containerization and IaC practices.

• AI Systems & Orchestration
  Design and manage APIs and backend systems for AI workflows. Integrate models and intelligent agents with enterprise tools, enforce security and compliance, and monitor performance using observability frameworks.

• Software Engineering & Architecture
  Develop and optimize AI-driven applications. Contribute to architectural decisions, write technical specifications, and automate workflows with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools.

• Evaluation & Responsible AI
  Apply frameworks for robustness, fairness, and explainability. Ensure systems meet enterprise standards for security, reliability, and ethical compliance.

• Collaboration & Enablement
  Work closely with ML engineers, architects, and product teams to accelerate experimentation and adoption. Prepare documentation, deliver technical briefings, and support internal enablement.

• Project Leadership
  Contribute to planning, scheduling, and budgeting for AI initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
