We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code, bridging cloud networking with data center infrastructure. The Network Engineering team is expanding beyond traditional networking, working closely with SREs, IT Operations, and other infrastructure teams to implement cloud networking solutions and drive automation.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage cloud networking infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
- Optimize performance, resiliency, scalability, and security of cloud networking infrastructure.
- Work with solution architects, security engineers, site reliability engineers (SREs), and DevOps to deliver cloud solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of Enverus network initiatives.
- Provide networking expertise to other Enverus IT/Technology teams for troubleshooting and design.
- Automate networking technologies including data center fabric, internet edge, routers, and firewalls.
- Implement network automation using scripting languages like Python and tools such as Ansible and Git.
- Deploy and maintain routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Interface with customers to ensure satisfaction and successful delivery of networking solutions.
What You Should Have
- Strong understanding of networking technologies and experience with complex network troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking services, particularly in Azure/AWS and cloud security services.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software development and deployment.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Experience with Virtual Private Clouds and Hybrid-Cloud connectivity.
- Proficiency in architecting and deploying network infrastructure technology solutions in large-scale environments.
- Experience in BGP and with network troubleshooting (packet capture, debug).
- Functional knowledge of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancing, VLAN segmentation, etc.
- Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems and propose practical solutions.
- Strong written communication skills; must be able to write clear, concise technical documentation.
- Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
- Experience managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on network engineering in a datacenter environment.
- Additional certifications are considered an asset.
