About the role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead desktop feature development across Web, Windows, and Mac platforms. You will be instrumental in bringing one of the most beloved notetaking apps from iPad to desktop, working to improve the desktop experience and drive growth beyond tablets.

This is the role for you if you’re excited to work on the below:
  • Desktop experience development: Lead feature development across Web, Windows, and Mac platforms, ensuring consistency and quality across all desktop experiences
  • User-centered discovery: Conduct user research, discovery work, and leverage insights/data to inform product decisions and improvements
  • Cross-platform excellence: Work across different operating systems to create well-behaved applications that follow platform-specific UX patterns while maintaining our design aesthetics
  • Growth initiatives: Drive daily active users (DAU) on desktop platforms as a key performance metric
  • Strategic product development: Own the product roadmap for desktop, balancing user needs with business objectives
The skills you will need to be successful in the above::
  • Productivity app expertise: 4-5 years of experience with productivity applications, with a genuine passion for the space
  • Strong product leadership: Proven track record as a product manager (not project manager or scrum master) who goes beyond Jira, PRDs, and backlog management
  • Consumer-facing experience: Must have in-house experience building consumer-facing products with direct user interaction
  • Exceptional UX sense: Deep understanding of what makes a well-behaved application, including UX patterns, platform conventions, and aesthetics
  • Customer empathy: Previous experience interacting directly with users to understand their needs and pain points
  • Drive and enthusiasm: Passionate about productivity tools with the energy to tackle big responsibilities
Interview process:
  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes
  • An introductory call with Steven, our CEO and founder, who will want to get to know more about your skills as a PM
  • A live hands-on assessment with one of our Engineering Managers
  • A live hands-on session with Steven
  • A meet-the-team call with 2 or 3 Goodpeople you’d be working closely with at Goodnotes
  • An AI literacy interview, designed to help us gauge your experience with AI tools and your approach to working with this technology

Note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, including verification of employment, education, and criminal records.

By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Candidate Privacy Notice, which provides important information about the data we collect during the application process. You can find it here.
