What the role involves:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of one or more high-impact products, guiding them from ideation and strategic definition through to delivery and market adoption. Reporting to either a Head of Product, General Manager, or other senior product leader, you will set and drive product vision and long-term strategy, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and mentor product managers within your domain.

You will be tasked to develop a strategy around IO’s role in your respective vertical, rationalize and elaborate a strong offering by capitalizing on existing products of our ecosystem and on emerging opportunities.

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Collaborate with senior product leadership to define product vision, strategy, and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with organizational and market objectives.
  • Own the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution across multiple quarters and years.
  • Act as a product evangelist and trusted subject-matter expert within and outside the organization.
  • Mentor and develop product managers, instilling best practices and supporting their professional growth.

Roadmapping & Documentation

  • Lead Quarterly Product Planning (QPP) or equivalent processes to translate strategic goals into a clear multi-quarter roadmap.
  • Produce and maintain Market Requirements Documents (MRDs), Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and Feature Requirements Documents (FRDs), ensuring traceability to market opportunities and user needs.
  • Continuously update all product documentation to reflect new insights, competitive analysis, and stakeholder feedback.

Market & User Insight

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to anticipate trends, identify emerging opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Engage customers, partners, and community stakeholders to gather requirements and validate product direction.
  • Monitor industry developments (e.g., blockchain, stablecoins, or other relevant technologies) and integrate findings into product strategy.

Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Product Design, and Product Marketing to ensure timely, high-quality delivery that meets business objectives.
  • Oversee product launch activities and post-launch iterations to maximize user adoption and market impact.
  • Work closely with marketing and communications to convey product value, changes, and release updates to external stakeholders.

Commercial & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build strategic relationships with key ecosystem players, partners, and industry forums to strengthen product positioning.
  • Support business development activities by evaluating opportunities and shaping commercial strategies.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • A BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Typically 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager
  • Prior experience in Financial Services, DeFi, Crypto Exchanges or Stablecoins
  • Demonstrated success in blockchain, fintech, or complex distributed systems, including market positioning and partner ecosystem engagement.
  • Proven success with MRD/PRD/FRD documentation and quarterly/continuous planning cycles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and leading highly technical engineering teams.
  • Experience implementing processes to define metrics and measure the success of products that are launched.
  • Experience working with software development and marketing teams,  preferably in fintech.

  • Proven ability in developing productive relationships with a variety of levels and roles and managing user expectations effectively.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen – Ability to translate market and ecosystem trends into venture-level product and commercial strategy.
  • Advanced Product Leadership – Proven record of driving multi-product roadmaps, mentoring product managers, and setting best practices that influence other teams.
  • Technical & Market Expertise – Deep understanding of blockchain, stablecoin technologies, and emerging DeFi trends; able to evaluate technical trade-offs and market dynamics.
  • Influencing & Stakeholder Management – Skilled in engaging senior leaders, external partners, regulators, and the broader ecosystem to align diverse interests.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making – Strong ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to validate strategies, prioritize investments, and measure success.
  • Execution Excellence – Consistently delivers complex products on time and within scope while ensuring exceptional user experience and market fit.
