Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager, Marketing Strategy & Engagement is a critical execution partner to the VP, Marketing Strategy & Engagement, responsible for operationalizing strategic marketing initiatives across customer engagement, servicing communications, lifecycle marketing, and corporate programs. This role ensures that complex, cross‑functional marketing initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager, Marketing Strategy & Engagement translates high‑level marketing vision into structured plans, drives alignment across stakeholders, manages dependencies, and ensures disciplined execution in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment. This role requires experience in large‑scale, multi‑channel marketing programs and effective stakeholder coordination across strategy, execution, and optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the VP, Marketing Strategy & Engagement to plan, structure, and execute strategic marketing initiatives aligned to customer engagement, retention, servicing, and brand objectives.
- Translate marketing strategies and executive priorities into detailed project plans, roadmaps, timelines, and resourcing models.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of high-impact marketing programs, from intake and scoping through execution, launch, and post-campaign evaluation.
- Oversee execution of complex lifecycle and cross-channel marketing initiatives spanning email, SMS, digital content, print, notifications, CRM, and emerging channels.
- Coordinate campaign workflows across creative, CRM, analytics, technology, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure campaign milestones, approvals, testing, and launch readiness are met without compromising quality or brand standards.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between Marketing Strategy & Engagement team members and key partners including Technology, Data, Servicing, Product, Creative, Operations, Compliance, and Sales.
- Facilitate alignment of priorities, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables across multiple teams and leadership levels.
- Proactively identify risks, constraints, and bottlenecks, escalating issues with clear recommendations and mitigation plans.
- Establish and maintain project management best practices, workflows, and governance frameworks for the Marketing Strategy & Engagement team.
- Implement intake, prioritization, and capacity-planning processes to support a growing portfolio of initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution through retrospectives, performance metrics, and operational insights.
- Track project performance against timelines, scope, and objectives, providing regular status updates and dashboards to senior leadership.
- Support post-launch analysis by coordinating with analytics teams to assess outcomes and capture learnings.
- Prepare concise, executive-ready communications that clearly articulate progress, risks, and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8+ years of project or program management experience, with an emphasis on marketing, digital, CRM, or customer engagement initiatives.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
- Experience in financial services, mortgage, fintech, or similarly regulated industries, preferred.
- Comfortable working with data, KPIs, and performance metrics to support effective prioritization and decision‑making.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, digital channels, and analytics workflows.
- Familiarity with compliance and approval processes in regulated marketing environments, preferred.
- Advanced skill in managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
- Advanced skills in project management methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall) and tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Workfront, or similar.
- Skilled in translating marketing strategies into clear, executable plans that remain aligned with business objectives.
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including confident engagement with senior leaders and executives.
