Role:

You will be working as a backend developer on Bottomline’s exciting and innovative Payments and Financial Document Automation SaaS solutions. You will be working in an Agile team to make our solution secure, reliable and scalable using the latest tools and techniques, while delivering customer features to keep Bottomline as market leaders. 


How you'll contribute:

  • Works across the engineering team, providing direction on technical, processes and delivery items 
  • Provides coaching and guidance to team members and is receptive to coaching from all levels
  • Proven record of delivery and leads and influences team to focus and complete top priority work
  • Drives work to closure
  • Significantly contributes to the design and continuous improvement of team processes
  • Exemplifies proven proficiency in tools/processes used in this position
  • Identifies and manages risks while actively and consistently managing them independently or bringing forward recommendations for team collaboration to mitigate
  • Proactively and consistently raises and reports on design deficiencies and product/operation/project risks focused on internal 3rd party software and services
  • Is responsible for the entire lifecycle of their code: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
  • Collaborates with other developers, UI, QA, QAA, and their product owner to deliver new features accurately and on time.

  • Leverages existing patterns and best practices for problem solving and suggests improvements 


Technical Skills:

  • C# .Net 8.0/Framework/Standard 
  • RDBMS (MSSQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL)
  • Development of customer facing RESTful APIs using security best practices
  • Unit test development (NUnit/xUnit/Moq) 
  • Good Application Design (DDD/Hexagonal)
  • API Design Specification Formats (Swagger/OpenApi)
  • Authentication (OAuth2/OpenID Connect)
  • Database Connectivity (EF Core)
  • Monitoring and Metrics (ELK/Prometheus,OpenTelemetry)
  • Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault)
  • Delivery Pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Helm)
  • Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Queueing (Kafka)
  • Binary Storage (AWS S3/CEPH S3)
  • Full Agile SDLC experience
  • Atlassian collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence) 
  • Experience with building highly adaptable solutions (Microservices)
  • Experience of building highly scalable solutions (CQRS and Outbox Pattern)
  • Good design and architecture knowledge (BDD/TDD/Quality gating)
