Position Overview

As a Senior Technical Product Manager at Founda Health, you will play a critical role in advancing our healthcare data availability platform to ensure secure, scalable, and standards-compliant solutions. This hands-on role involves transforming high-level strategies into impactful, technically viable product capabilities that address complex healthcare interoperability needs. Working closely with the Engineering teams, you will focus on optimizing our platform’s foundational components to support scale, security, and compliance, while also enabling seamless interoperability for healthcare providers, applications, and ecosystem partners worldwide.

You will report directly to the Director of Product, collaborating across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to deliver high-impact, resource-efficient solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced technical product manager who combines a strong technical background with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Role & ResponsibilitiesPlatform Strategy Execution

  • Translate Vision to Action: Drive the transformation of product vision and roadmap into detailed, actionable epics and requirements, aligning closely with Engineering to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery.
  • Shape Up Process: Lead Founda’s Shape Up development cycles by shaping projects into well-defined proposals that balance strategic impact with resource efficiency.
  • Healthcare Standards Integration: Collaborate with Engineering to ensure product components comply with healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM, IHE) and support cloud-native, secure, and stable design practices.

Technical Partnership and Prioritization

  • Scalable Solutions: Work closely with Engineering teams to prioritize and develop both applicative and core infrastructure components that support scaling, performance, and stability.
  • Efficient Resource Management: Collaborate with Engineering to explore pragmatic technical approaches, maximizing impact while optimizing resource use.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all new capabilities and enhancements are secure, compliant with healthcare regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, and ensuring alignment across Product, Design, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Customer-Centric Development: Engage select customers and key stakeholders throughout the development cycle, gathering feedback to validate solutions in real-world scenarios and iterating based on insights.
  • Launch Planning: Coordinate with Product Marketing and Customer Success to develop go-to-market strategies for new features.
  • Deployment and Handover: Oversee initial deployments and work closely with Professional Services and Support teams to ensure seamless transitions to customers.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Healthcare Interoperability Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends in healthcare interoperability and digital health, applying insights to enhance the product’s competitive edge.
  • Technical Best Practices: Together with Tech Office, evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can improve the scalability, security, and compliance of the platform, and advocate for their adoption where applicable.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare interoperability, data exchange, API management, and healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, IHE, DICOM) - Strong advantage
  • Proven experience in a product management role focused on software, platform development, or interoperability solutions, ideally in a scale-up environment.
  • Background in software development, with experience in building technical software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic product requirements into actionable technical specifications and development proposals.
  • Proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize, build, and launch scalable and secure product solutions.
  • Strong skills in managing complex, technically focused projects, including effective time and resource prioritization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences, from engineers to commercial teams.

  • Exhibits a proactive approach to gathering and integrating customer feedback, ensuring products meet both compliance standards and user experience needs.
