PTC is accelerating its SaaS transformation and scaling product experiences that power our customers’ digital transformation—from CAD and PLM to SLM and ALM. We’re looking for a motivated and highly skilled Technical Product Manager to work closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and Architecture to define requirements, translate complex technical concepts, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality SaaS capabilities within a critical domain of PTC’s platform.

While based in Cambridge, UK, you’ll collaborate with global teams across the US, Israel, India, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Product Definition & Execution

  • Translate product strategy and business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to scope MVPs, assess feasibility, make technical trade-offs, and ensure timely, reliable delivery of multi-tenant, multi-region SaaS capabilities.
  • Maintain a well-groomed backlog aligned with platform architecture, customer workflows, and system constraints.
  • Collaborate with Architecture to ensure alignment on APIs, identity services, data models, integrations, and platform standards.

Discovery & Requirements Gathering

  • Support continuous discovery by validating problems and opportunities through customer interviews, workflow analysis, prototypes, and experiments.
  • Analyze telemetry, usage analytics, and performance metrics to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and recommend enhancements.
  • Convert complex technical and workflow insights into actionable requirements that improve usability, stability, and performance.

Technical Delivery & Quality

  • Assist Engineering with clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguity, and ensuring solutions meet functional, performance, and security expectations.
  • Perform acceptance testing, review design proposals, and validate that delivered solutions align with business and technical goals.
  • Leverage feature flags, experimentation, and analytics to validate hypotheses and support iterative improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management to refine priorities, align roadmaps, and ensure technical feasibility of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with UX to shape intuitive, user-centric experiences for sophisticated PLM/CAD workflows.
  • Support Sales, Customer Success, and Support by providing product expertise, technical context, and release documentation.
  • Communicate requirements, progress, risks, and insights clearly across engineering, design, and business stakeholders.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Engage directly with customers to understand technical workflows, integrations, performance considerations, and solution gaps.
  • Stay informed on trends in PLM, CAD authoring, SaaS platforms, and adjacent enterprise ecosystems.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years in Technical Product Management or equivalent experience in technical roles (e.g., engineering, architecture, implementation).
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill or PLM systems, and Creo or CAD authoring tools.
  • Strong technical fluency across APIs, identity management, data architecture, integrations, observability, and security/privacy fundamentals.
  • Experience delivering or supporting multi-tenant SaaS products.
  • Proficiency in writing user stories, feature requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using telemetry, product analytics, or experimentation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with platform product management (developer frameworks, APIs, SDKs, extensibility).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices) and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security & compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • STEM or related technical degree
