At CACI Information Intelligence Group (IIG), we develop cutting-edge software solutions that tackle some of the UK's most complex and mission-critical challenges. As a specialist technology consultancy, we partner with customers across National Security, Defence and Government to deliver innovative digital capabilities that have real-world impact.

We're growing rapidly and are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join one of our high-performing National Security delivery teams.

If you're passionate about quality engineering, thrive on solving difficult technical problems, and want to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.

 The Role:

As a Senior Test Engineer, you'll become a key member of a small, agile delivery team working on a live, high-profile project. You'll help shape quality from the outset, embedding automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle and ensuring solutions are delivered with confidence, reliability and speed.

You'll work closely with engineers, architects, DevOps specialists and product stakeholders to champion quality engineering and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing automated testing solutions across UI, API and system levels.
  • Embedding continuous testing within modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Combining automated and exploratory testing approaches to deliver high-quality software.
  • Working within Agile environments and applying modern engineering practices including TDD, BDD and ATDD.
  • Building and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks.
  • Supporting non-functional testing activities such as performance, security, accessibility and operational acceptance testing.
  • Helping shape testing strategy, frameworks and best practices across the wider QA community.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, resilient and user-focused solutions.
 Technologies We Typically Use:

We believe in using the right tools for the job and invest in modern, open-source technologies, including:

  • Selenium
  • Playwright
  • Cypress
  • Webdriver.io
  • Cucumber
  • Robot Framework
  • Serenity BDD
  • Rest Assured
 What We're Looking For

We're seeking passionate, curious and motivated Test Engineers who enjoy tackling complex challenges and continuously developing their skills. Most importantly, we're looking for people who enjoy solving problems, sharing ideas and helping teams build great software.

You'll likely bring:

  • Strong experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
  • A quality-first mindset with a passion for improving engineering standards.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and approaches.

This is more than a testing role. It's an opportunity to work on meaningful, challenging programmes alongside exceptional engineers, shape how quality is delivered across complex systems, and accelerate your career in one of the UK's leading technology and national security consultancies.

 Security Requirements:

Due to the nature of our work, candidates will ideally already hold, or be eligible to obtain, a high level of UK Security Clearance.

To be eligible, you will typically need to be a British citizen and have lived continuously in the UK for the previous five years.
