If you’re fascinated by the night sky and have a passion to share your knowledge and wonder with a wider audience then this is the place for you. is the premier source of space exploration, innovation and astronomy news, transporting our visitors across the solar system and beyond and we’re looking for someone to help guide our readers through the amazing astronomical calendar.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the Sky Watching Writer will be responsible for planning and writing feature and educational content throughout the astronomical calendar, ensuring all articles are search engine optimised and engaging to our readers. You’ll also identify trending news and lead breaking sky watching coverage across the site and our social channels. 

  • Create engaging content 
  • Ensure the sky watching channel is fresh and engaging
  • General editorial tasks, working with the content team

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • An in-depth knowledge of the night sky
  • Experience in a content role on an editorial website
  • Someone looking to enhance the way we approach content
  • Sub-editing/proofreading skills
