About us

Founded in 2015 by friends Valentina Muntoni and Stephanie Bennett, Rat & Boa is a womenswear brand built on the celebration of femininity and individuality, creating pieces that elevate every moment of dressing up.

We are more than a brand — we are a growing global community. Every collection tells its own story of sensuality, colour, sustainability and wanderlust, and we’re on a journey of evolution to become a fully-fledged fashion house. With ambitious growth plans for new categories and fresh creative directions, this is an incredible time to join our team and tell the next chapter of our story.

The role

Our new Social Media & Content Manager will shape the creative vision of our social channels and elevate how our brand shows up online. You’ll lead the development of social-first ideas, commissioning and producing contemporary content that’s culturally aware and true to our aesthetic.

In this role, you’ll push creative boundaries across every platform, from campaign concepts to daily storytelling. Working closely with our brand team, creative directors and founders, you’ll bring a strong point of view, a refined eye, and the ability to turn ideas into compelling visuals that resonate with and grow our community.

Core responsibilities:

  • Creative Strategy & Ideation
    • Develop original concepts, campaigns, and storytelling tailored to different platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and potential to expand social platforms to keep the brand innovating).
    • Work closely with strategists, wider team, copywriters, and design team to push the brand’s social presence.
  • Content Creation & Oversight
    • Lead the design, copy, and production of social-first content (static, video, motion, interactive formats).
    • Ensure creative output aligns with brand tone, voice, and visual identity.
    • Lead with foresight, identifying platform trends and applying them.
  • Collaboration
    • Develop and execute an influencer strategy by identifying relevant creators, building relationships, overseeing outreach with social & PR assistant, negotiating partnerships, and overseeing content delivery to support key campaigns and brand objectives.
    • Collab with PR teams on social projects / collaborations with talent
    • Provide clear briefs to creatives and align brand managers on social content needs.
    • Liaise with external agencies, PR teams, production houses and content creators as and when needed.
  • Performance & Optimisation
    • Analyse engagement and content performance to refine creative strategies.
    • Test new formats, methods, and platform features.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

We’re looking for a creative powerhouse to own our social presence, creating scroll-stopping content that turns followers into customers and builds an engaged community around our brand.

  • Strong background in social-first content creation (copy, design, short-form video).
  • A self-starter who’s assured in their own decision making and naturally inclined to contribute ideas.
  • Experienced in working with influencers and handling creator spend.
  • Dual capability as both strategist and executor.
  • Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, building community and audience behaviours.
  • Proficiency with tools like Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Figma.
  • Fashion experience or strong interest in fashion.
  • Understanding of fashion cycles, seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and content calendar management skills.
  • Experience in leading creative projects and mentoring junior creatives.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Benefits
  • 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and an additional 0.5 days on Christmas & New Year's Eve)
  • Medicash plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension Scheme
  • Enhanced sick pay
  • Enhanced parental pay
  • Hybrid working
