What is EMEA Marketing Team responsible for?

As a member of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Marketing team, the Social Media Strategist will help shape and manage Franklin Templeton’s social media strategy. In support of larger marketing initiatives, this team member will work collaboratively with the stakeholders in EMEA to advise on, create, execute, and report on social media ad campaigns across social media channels. What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Social Media Strategist?

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with key client segments across EMEA markets that align with marketing and sales objectives.

  • Plan, set up, and execute social media campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter).

  • Develop a sustainable strategy to grow our presence on Instagram and any other relevant channel.

  • Oversee the social media content calendar, including creative briefs and copywriting, ensuring alignment with business and marketing goals.

  • Manage the social media budget and optimize spendings according to performance KPIs.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for social media initiatives within the EMEA region.

  • Work with creative team, copywriter, agencies, compliance, Corporate Social as well as using AI copywriting tools to generate engaging social posts.

  • Consistently monitor and optimize social ad campaigns to ensure the best possible results and ROI.

  • Develop innovative ideas to help us grow on social media and stand out in the industry.

  • Constant evaluation of the competitive and paid media landscape to identify new growth opportunities, tactics, and channels.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.

  • Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize content strategy for social media channels.

  • Adhere to best practices and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to the EMEA region.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in social media ad campaigns for a major brand in a corporate environment.

  • Deep understanding of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook.

  • Expertise in performance paid media principles such as social ad formats, bidding automation, conversion funnels, creative testing, and audience segmentation.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt tone to fit different audiences and channels.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using social media analytics tools and to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Track record of driving meaningful growth in paid social channels.

  • Advanced knowledge of social media metrics reporting and the ability to effectively communicate results.

  • Ability to work independently; participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent business judgement and ethics.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to coordinate the work of others.

  • Knowledge of any other European language would be a plus
