We run a mobile phone recycling comparison site Compare and Recycle – one of the biggest and best in the industry. Our platform allows customers to get the most value out of their old mobile phones and provide all the information they need to make the process as easy as possible.

The role

You’ll be joining our talented development team working to improving our backend API’s primarily written in Python. The exact projects you will be working on is based on what you would like to try.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking concepts and turning them into high quality user experiences
  • Improving and optimising both user facing and backend systems
  • Producing great code and a product you can be proud of
  • Reviewing other team member code

About You / Key skills

    • 2-5 years experience
    • Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies
    • Familiarity with RESTful services and APIs
    • Understanding of version control tools such as Git
    • Knowledge of SQL databases such as Postgres
    • Ability to work independently, identifying and solving issues

    Other skills we’d love

    • Python
    • Docker, Kubernetes and GCP
    • Knowledge of Linux

    What we can offer you

    We work 09:00-17:00 GMT Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break.
