Who we are

At Hiverge, our mission is to build algorithmic superintelligence: an AI discovery engine that automatically writes algorithms for the most critical optimisation problems.

Our founding team is composed of world-class researchers from Google DeepMind and University of Cambridge, having co-developed AlphaTensor, FunSearch, and Nobel-prize winning AlphaFold. At Hiverge, you will be working with the brightest minds in AI, algorithms, and mathematics.

If you’re passionate about AI and eager to shape transformative technologies, we’d love to hear from you.

About this role

We are seeking a skilled cloud engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Your work will directly impact performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of our AI workloads.

You will

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on major public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).

  • Deploy and operate AI agents at scale, ensuring high availability and robust performance.

  • Develop, extend, and maintain Kubernetes Operators for automation and workload orchestration.

  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to enhance system visibility.

  • Take ownership of meeting defined SLOs, including participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience

  • Expert in Golang and familiar with Python

  • Hands-on experience with developing Kubernetes Operators

What sets you apart

  • You have proven production experience with Kubernetes.

  • Experience with cost optimization and resource management for large-scale AI workloads.

  • Open-source contributions or active community involvement is highly valued.

  • Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, or similar).

  • Familiarity with AI agents or LLM-based systems, especially like LLM inference systems.

  • Experience in integrating solutions on Google Cloud Marketplace or AWS Marketplace is a plus.

We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits packages, and offer a stimulating work environment, with the opportunity to contribute to the future of generative AI.
