Cloudflare's mission is to help build a better internet and the Legal Response Team (LRSP) team lives at the core of that effort. The team ensures that legal teams in the company can respond to the quickly changing legal landscape of the internet with scalable tools and services. About the Role
Engineers on the Legal Response Team (LRSP) team are responsible for the entire software development lifecycle for our products and services which include both internal and customer-facing software. Whether closing gaps in our legal response pipelines, extending our CSAM Scanning Tool or road mapping the future of Trust & Safety and Legal Response solutions, software engineers on the Legal Response team are critical to Cloudflare's ability to help make the internet a better place.
This role will be based out of our Austin office.
What you'll do
While the majority of our services are now written in Golang, you will also work with technologies such as Rust, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Terraform, Temporal and PostgresSQL. We are looking for great engineers regardless of experience with any of these specific technologies.

What you'll do

Responsibilities include
- Designing, building, running and scaling tools and services that support Legal Response efforts
- Collaborating with Trust & Safety, Legal and Product teams to understand goals and develop robust and scalable solutions.
- Improving system design and architecture to ensure stability and performance of the internal and customer-facing compliance services
- Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of production services, including participation in on call rotations
Desirable skills and experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience building large-scale software applications, preferably distributed systems
- Understanding of RESTful and/or gRPC APIs and how to access data between separate systems using APIs
- Knowledge of SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL
- Prior experience writing production ready code in Go and/or Typescript
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills
- Familiarity with testing concepts and frameworks

- Prior experience working in the Trust & Safety and Legal domain space
- Deep understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL and HTTP
- Expertise in web security issues and industry standards for access control
