About the team
The Zero Trust Connectivity team builds the hub that connects Cloudflare One and Zero Trust products such as Magic WAN, WARP, Cloudflare Tunnels and Gateway. Powering this hub is a set of Rust-based services operating on every one of the data-centers that Cloudflare runs. These services route all of Cloudflare One traffic end to end. By leveraging Cloudflare's incredible infrastructure and programming languages such as Rust, this critical service is safe, performant and secure.
We are a team of engineers who obsess over building reliable services which leverage Cloudflare's unique architecture and global network footprint.

About the role
As a software engineer on the Zero Trust Connectivity team, you will contribute across a wide range of technologies and systems to deliver new solutions that connect Cloudflare One products together. You will build connectivity in a user-space service that can identify and route flows across our global network. This work requires close collaboration with other teams while leveraging powerful frameworks and libraries that power many Cloudflare products. Our technology stack includes Rust, Docker, Linux networking, Clickhouse, SaltStack and Prometheus. We're looking for determined, curious, empathetic engineers to join our team!

- Programming experience in Rust
- Familiar with Layer 3 and Layer 4 Networking
- Systems-level programming experience in Linux
- Experience building large-scale, reliable, highly distributed systems
- Attention to detail and ability to solve complex customer problems
- Own solutions end-to-end and driving the design, development, and deployment process
- Able to work across teams and level common, sustainable solutions
- Creative, open-minded, collaborative problem solver
- Focus on clarity in written and verbal communication
Compensation

- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $196,000 - $240,000
- For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $187,000 - $229,000.
- For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $168,000 - $206,000.
Mid Level (3)
- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $162,000 - $198,000
- For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $154,000 - $188,000
- For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $137,000 - $167,000
