Driven by a passion to innovate in the areas of sports performance, analytics and user experience, we have assembled a team of the industry's top data scientists, sports performance scientists, product specialists and engineers.

Kitman Labs' advanced Intelligence Platform (iP) is now used by over 2000 teams in 50 leagues on 6 continents, including the NFL, Premier League, National Women's Soccer League and MLS.

The Role

At Kitman, you will be a Backend Engineer, someone who solves real customer problems through a smart and efficient application of your technical knowledge and your tools. You'll be part of one of our multidisciplinary product teams, where you will build backend systems and work closely with designers, product managers, and data analysts.

Specifically, you'll join our **Performance Medicine team**, where we are building the **next level EMR**. This is software that goes far beyond a traditional electronic medical record to drive decisions that keep high performing athletes healthy and on the field. You will be working on the backend systems that power a unified view of athlete health, injuries, recovery, and availability.

What will you be doing?

As an engineer on the team you will:

    - Help design the systems behind our Performance Medicine product, from the first technical plan through to the code that ships.
    - Build the Ruby services that capture and move athlete medical data, where accuracy and privacy carry real weight.
    - Take on the reliability and scaling challenges of a platform used by thousands of teams across the world's top leagues.
    - Work directly with product, design, and the medical and performance staff who rely on the product, and shape it around how they actually work.

What will you bring?

    - Four or more years writing software in a professional setting, ideally on a SaaS product.
    - Examples of work you are proud of, where you moved a product or a team forward.
    - Time spent building alongside product managers and designers, shipping things people actually use.
    - Practical experience with distributed systems.
