Department OverviewOur team develops mission-critical software that empowers supervisors and call takers in Emergency Call Centers. We are responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, delivery, and ongoing maintenance. Our work encompasses both front-end and back-end development.
We operate as a co-located Scrum team, delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints.
Job Description

We seek a dynamic and experienced Technical Manager to lead our software development team. In this role, you will manage a high-performing Scrum team while providing technical direction and oversight for the technologies we use and the evolution of our product. You will play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical systems for Emergency Call Centers, and supporting the teams who develop software that delivers in life-or-death situations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, proven leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies. As a leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and continuous improvement of our product.


Basic Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a Scrum team of developers, ensuring high-quality software is delivered on schedule.

  • Oversee the technical direction and architecture of the product, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry best practices.

  • Foster a collaborative and agile environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement in software development.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and keep the product at the forefront of technology.

  • Contribute hands-on to product development, particularly in Java and cloud environments, alongside the team.

  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure successful implementation of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Manager or in a similar leadership role within a software development environment.

  • Practical experience in developing large-scale software systems, with a focus on both back-end and cloud-based technologies.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, especially for cloud-based software.

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and Polish, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a Scrum team, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Expertise in overseeing the technical direction and architecture of complex software products.

  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation and ensuring the product remains competitive.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or  Amazon AWS.
