Job Title: Stores Operative

Working Pattern: Full Time - Onsite

Working location: Bristol  

When you join our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Integrated Logistics Centre in Bristol as a Stores Operative, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials for critical defence operations. You'll be responsible for handling, storing, and dispatching essential engine components, directly supporting the maintenance of cutting-edge aerospace technology. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, offering a great opportunity to develop your logistics expertise within a world-class organisation.

This role sits within our Defence business, specifically supporting the logistics and operations of our MRO facility, where we service and maintain engines such as the Adour, Trent 700, and Pegasus, which power aircraft used by military forces worldwide.

What you will be doing

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage goods in by receiving and processing engine components needed for engineering builds.

  • Coordinate goods out by preparing and dispatching critical engine modules and spare parts to customers worldwide.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records by cataloguing and organising spare parts for future engineering requests.

  • Utilise SAP to track stock movements, process requests, and ensure efficient logistics operations.

Who we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a valid forklift license and have experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment.

  • Possess a full UK driving license for on-site transportation of materials and engine components.

  • Be computer literate, with a willingness to learn and use tools such as SAP for inventory management and task execution.

  • Be a comfortable communicator who can collaborate effectively with team members and engineers to meet operational goals.

  • Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility, showing a proactive approach to supporting colleagues and adapting to changing demands.
