About this position
Join us as a Talent Acquisition Lead for Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ). You will drive the full talent acquisition life cycle within GMSGQ in Japan, attract and hire the best people, and work alongside HR and key business leaders to deploy our talent acquisition strategy. You will develop and implement recruitment strategies, managing talent pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. By aligning Japan's recruitment practices with global strategies, you will support Takeda's purpose to deliver Better Health and a Brighter Future.
How you will contribute:
- The TA lead for Japan develops and implements the recruitment plan to deliver all the hiring needs for Japan for Takeda's Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality business functions
- The role has responsibility for the full recruitment lifecycle from planning through to onboarding of new hires. The TA lead seeks ways to drive best in class hiring results while streamlining processes and finding efficiencies leveraging data and digital technologies.
- The TA Lead leads the hiring, development and retention of both in-house and / or RPO members of the Talent Acquisition team, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement .
- Partners with senior business leaders and HR stakeholders to understand strategic workforce plans and future skillset requirements.
- Conducts market research to understand talent availability, salary trends, and competitor strategies .
- Create diverse talent pools for business-critical roles, proactively, applying talent sourcing and candidate management tools.
- With a passion for employer brand, the TA Lead will leverage social media channels and will lead on attraction campaigns with a view that the talent pipeline can be enriched and Takeda is being seen as an employer of choice.
- Delivers strong performance on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Talent Acquisition function and consistently partners with the business to drive continuous improvements.
- Ensures recruitment activities for senior level roles are executed flawlessly.
- Ensures hiring managers are well versed in the hiring process and are equipped to make solid hiring decisions.
- Plays a key role in leading initiatives as appropriate including any Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, Employee Referrals, Alumni, Systems & Tools, Employer Branding, Onboarding, management reporting or other recruiting project related work.
- Lead and/or support projects as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class Talent Acquisition organization. Participate in Global TA/HR projects and Communities of Practice as required. Align with cross-functional TA colleagues to deploy talent acquisition programs regionally.
- Ensure compliance with all required legal & compliance regulations and reporting related to Takeda's hiring activities.
Skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition (in house) including a demonstrated record in leading small recruiting teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Experience of managing and / or working within both in house and RPO environments.
- Experience with developing and implementing new strategies to address the competitive hiring market, complex business issues, and demonstrated history of building trust to achieve results.
- Strong ability to work effectively in matrixed corporate environment. Ability to partner with business leaders across all functions, departments and locations.
- The ability to drive for consistency whilst at the same time being able to flex into localized solutions where necessary.
- Able to partner with senior leadership effectively to drive excellence in executive level hiring.
- Language: Japanese (near-native level) and English (business fluent level)
- Desire to put people first and demonstrate the values of Takeda-ism.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing environment in Japan.
