We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead for Global Travel Expense (T&E) Management to oversee the end-to-end management of our global T&E functions. This role will be responsible for leading system implementations, managing a Shared Service Center (SSC) for T&E processing, and acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for T&E policies, systems, and processes. Key Responsibilities:
- System Leadership & Implementation:
- Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of the Concur Travel Expense management system.
- Manage end-to-end system implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adoption.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Business teams to optimize system configurations and integrations.
- Shared Service Oversight:
- Oversee the global T&E shared service team responsible for processing travel and expense reports.
- Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality, timely support.
- Drive process standardization and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME):
- Act as the primary SME for T&E policies, procedures, and best practices across regions.
- Provide guidance and training to global teams, ensuring compliance with policies and audit requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive global reporting dashboards related to T&E spend, compliance, and trends.
- Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process optimization areas.
- Continuous Improvement & Optimization:
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and leverage automation within the Concur platform.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new features, and system updates to maximize value.
- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to implement improvements proactively.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with global business units, finance, compliance, and IT teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for T&E system issues and enhancement requests.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in economics or similar major
Work Experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- At least 5+ years experience in managing a team
Skills
- Experience in managing a shared service center
- In-depth knowledge and subject matter expert in SAP Concur
- Structured and independent way of working with a corresponding sense of responsibility.
- Very good MS Office knowledge
- Very good knowledge of English (written and oral), German beneficial.
- 100% team player.
- Hands on mentality.
- Pronounced affinity for numbers and analytical way of thinking.
