Job Title: Team Training Lead – Product Certification, RS

Reports to: Head of Professional Development

Location: Home based – UK

We are looking for someone with experience in the regulatory and technical aspects of certification delivery in Product Certification. 

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Lead the execution of a professional development strategy for Product Certification (PC) within Regulatory Services (RS).
  • Lead the design, development and delivery of gold standard professional development packages for a multi-disciplinary group consisting of Scheme Managers, Technical Specialists, Laboratory Staff, Operations Support and Regulatory and Compliance colleagues across practises within Product Certification.
  • The role will support aspects such as onboarding, training, continuous professional development and competence verification and monitoring as well as supporting BSI’s commitments to regulatory compliance.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification or experience in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to impart confidence and cooperation, liaise at all levels and work agilely and collaboratively.
  • A good understanding of the regulatory requirements and systems for products in Product Certification.
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems and standards in Product Certification.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Creating, documenting and regularly maintaining a Professional Development (PD) Strategy document for Product Certification Driving Vison, Engagement and Support for professional development by collaborating with appropriate stakeholders across the business Conducting training needs analysis for learners taking into account aspects such as:

  • Regulatory requirements
  • Requirements from standards and guidance
  • Internal BSI procedural requirements
  • Technical knowledge and skills
  • Personal development
  • Careers pathways
  • Regulatory services internal data systems and CAPA processes

Supporting processes for onboarding, initial training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and competence verification and monitoring.

Travel Requirements:  This role requires travel to various BSI sites & for other key meetings on a regular but infrequent basis.
