    Role Summary
As a Tech Lead at CreateFuture, you will use your technical and leadership skills to lead
and support diverse client projects. Depending on the engagement, this includes
hands-on coding, software architecture, solution design or delivery leadership and project
management, ensuring a high standard of delivery in everything we do.
We focus on high-value, high-impact client outcomes, and we’re not afraid to challenge
the status quo. You should be curious, pragmatic, and operate well in ambiguous
    environments.
As a technology consultancy, it’s important for us to not only deliver reliable, scalable
solutions but to be looking at future trends and other high-impact developments. Your
curiosity for technology and its application to business opportunities is highly valued
within the company. We are disrupting consultancy through the use of Artificial
Intelligence and radical thinking in our approach. We're doing something different, and
that’s realising significant benefits for our clients. We want you to share that same
    ambition.
You will also manage a team of technical direct reports, who are themselves working on
client projects, for whom you will provide actionable feedback, technical guidance and
mentoring, fostering a continuous improvement, growth and consultancy mindset.
You will work with clients at every level to understand their problems, set expectations,
and maximise business value, representing CreateFuture as an engagement lead.
    Role Requirements
    ● Proven, hands-on technical leader delivering complex software.
    ● Demonstrate thought-leadership; supporting our clients and colleagues to
understand, through modern technology and process, what is possible for their
    business/craft.
    ● Line-manage a team of engineers while maintaining personal delivery
    contributions.
    ● Commercial experience in at least one: Java, .NET, Python, or TypeScript (backend
    or frontend).

    ● Commercial experience with at least one major cloud (Amazon Web Services,
Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and modern infrastructure practices
(containers, continuous integration/continuous delivery, infrastructure as code).
    ● Strong delivery fundamentals: estimation, planning, and risk/issue/dependency
management; escalates early with clear options and impacts.
    ● Communicate designs and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical
    stakeholders.
    ● Skilled in difficult conversations and actionable feedback; sets clear standards and
    holds people accountable.
    Desirable:
    ● Tailor ways of working (Scrum or Kanban) to context and drive continuous
    improvement.
    ● Experience in change transformation projects that involved significant Artificial
    Intelligence adoption.
    ● Breadth across multiple languages or disciplines (e.g., Rust, test automation,
    DevOps/platform engineering).
    ● Experience across multiple clouds and cloud-native services.
    ● Contribute to recruitment and pre-sales in a consultancy context.
    ● Represent CreateFuture in the external tech community.
    Role Responsibilities
    Technical leadership:
    ● Communicate designs, trade‐offs, and constraints in the context of client goals.
    ● Lead architecture, solution design, and documentation; make pragmatic
    technology choices.
    ● Contribute code where appropriate; set engineering standards; ensure reviews,
    testing, and maintainability.
    ● Troubleshoot complex issues; drive root‐cause fixes and follow‐up actions.
    Delivery leadership:
    ● Own technical outcomes: scope, estimate, plan, and track to agreed goals.
    ● Highlight risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate early with clear options,
    impacts, and recommendations.
    ● Ensure actionable backlogs and realistic plans; communicate timelines and team
    shape needs.
People leadership (enable, unblock, hold to account):

    ● Guide direct reports to set themselves clear personal goals, and hold them
    accountable for realising them.
    ● Proactively remove impediments across technical, process, and organisational
    boundaries.
    ● Hold colleagues accountable for commitments and standards; address
    performance issues promptly.
    ● Provide targeted guidance and feedback; recognise achievements.
    ● Line‐manage direct reports; run core rituals (team meetings, 1:1s, objectives,
    reviews).
    ● Contribute to hiring.
    Client leadership:
    ● Build trusted relationships at all levels; translate business needs into technical
    plans.
    ● Manage expectations and scope; articulate value and trade‐offs; identify follow‐on
    opportunities.
    ● Represent CreateFuture as the engagement lead.
    Optional/community:
    ● Contribute to delivery practices and standards
    ● Contribute to pre‐sales.
