As a Technical Product Manager at Ennismore, you will lead the development and optimization of our booking engine platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure its scalability, performance, and integration across digital channels. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams and act as a critical liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that the booking engine meets both technical requirements and business goals. Your focus will be on delivering a seamless and high-performing booking experience for customers, while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Description

  • Lead Booking Engine Platform Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of the booking engine platform, ensuring it meets performance, scalability, and reliability standards. Drive the product vision and strategy for the platform, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with engineering teams to define technical requirements, prioritize features, and manage the implementation of new capabilities. Ensure that technical solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the product lead on all technical aspects of the booking engine, including integration with third-party systems, security protocols, performance tuning, and infrastructure. Provide guidance on technical decisions that affect the product and customer experience.
  • Booking Engine Optimization: Partner with web and booking engine optimization teams to continuously improve the booking experience. Focus on reducing friction points, increasing conversion rates, and improving overall platform performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure that product development aligns with company goals. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure that business needs are translated into clear technical requirements.
  • Roadmap and Feature Prioritization: Develop and maintain a product roadmap for the booking engine platform, working with engineering, optimization, and business teams to prioritize features based on technical complexity, customer impact, and business value.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and user feedback to drive platform improvements. Use insights to optimize the booking flow, reduce abandonment rates, and improve key performance metrics.
  • Ensure Platform Reliability and Performance: Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with engineering to ensure that the booking engine is reliable, scalable, and capable of handling high traffic volumes.
  • Agile Development & Continuous Improvement: Champion Agile methodologies, ensuring iterative development, quick feedback loops, and continuous improvement. Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and practices that improve platform functionality and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical product management or working with complex digital platforms.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and make informed technical decisions.
  • Proven experience in leading platform development for high-performance digital products, ideally in e-commerce or hospitality.
  • Expertise in booking engines or similar high-traffic, transaction-heavy digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience working with optimization teams to drive continuous improvement in conversion rates and platform performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business language and vice versa.
  • Experience in using Agile methodologies and working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a complex product roadmap, balancing technical constraints with business needs.
