Job Description

The newly formed Solution Validation Growth (SVG) team within Consumer payments is looking for an individual with a technical bent of mind and interest in product ownership to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. This role reports to Validation vertical with in SVG 

 The Technical Product Manager requires hands-on experience which includes the following responsibilities: 

  •  Work closely with Visa’s technology and product teams to understand new business initiatives as well as the impact on current and new client projects and build Validation platform for Sandbox and Production, be the Product owner for the Validation platform

  • Discuss technical implementation details with architects and other technical teams. 

  • C​ollaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable, and scalable payment processing platforms. 

  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness, cost/benefit analysis and increased customer satisfaction.

  • Build and enhance positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project artifacts, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, issues logs in support of client projects and/or initiatives. 

  • Manage internal and external project communications (meeting minutes, dashboards, etc.), providing regular and consistent updates to appropriate parties. 

  • Report on client project accomplishments and deliverables to management and different stakeholders. 

  • Lead the User Acceptance Test strategy.

  • Define product/technical requirements which involve writing clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets. 

  • Work very closely with development and QA organization to ensure technical specifications and final product meet business requirements. 

  • Support the development team in building deliverables in accordance with compliance, security and quality standards for Visa required deliverables and the card payment ecosystem.

  • Participate in daily scrum meetings for the teams executing on projects being driven. 

  • This position may require off-scheduled work including late evenings / weekends in support of client and company configuration changes and associated post-production validation. 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or 3 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree experience in the job offered or in a related product manager, systems analyst, or software engineer occupation.
Product management software tools such as Rally and Jira Align.
Software development lifecycle in an e-commerce or web environment.
Technical implementations of medium-large scale, highly available, robust web or mobile applications.
Experienced in technology design of new solutions
Technical experience in managing products built using Java technologies, API(SOAP & REST), Web & Mobile Development.
Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming
product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a
fast paced, ever-changing environment.
Proficiency working in an agile environment.
Experience working in the Payments space.
Skills/ Preferred Qualifications
Must be proficient in writing code and building POCs, ideally using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
Must have experience in scripting for API testing tools such as Postman or similar
Must have experience building front-end and back-end applications
Expert in web service standards and related patterns (REST, gRPC)
Solid understanding of database technologies including SQL
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities, and challenges.
Experience in Identity solutions like oAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, security tokens (JWS, JWE, access token, id token) or other IAM
Must have Cryptographic knowledge & Key Management
Basic Understanding of B2B API integration
Customer facing (communicative) skills
Analytical mind -Curious mindset with an interest in solving problems alongside strong analytical and quantitative skills, driving insight from data analysis.
Ability to shift priorities and demonstrate proactive willingness to help others
Understanding of how decision may affect other teams and contribute to
