About the Role:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) role within the Motive Hardware organization is a critical role in Motive’s expansion into the UK and EU markets.  The TPM will coordinate the introduction of Motive’s product into these markets and work closely with customers to ensure that products work to our customers’ satisfaction.  The TPM will coordinate installations, feedback installation and functional issues to our Engineering team, help on the introduction of product through training and other activities like alpha and beta testing to prepare for product launches.  The TPM will work closely with Sales and Support on product launch readiness, as well as with Engineering teams and our TPM team on numerous aspects of launch and support.


What You’ll Do: 

  • Help coordinate readiness for EU in conjunction with other project leads
  • Work directly with customers on installation of Motive’s products.
    • Go to customer’s site, as needed, to aid in installation and initial bring-up
  • Support customers alpha/beta testing by distributing units and aiding installation
  • Work with Sales and Support on any issues encountered during installation and operation of Motive’s products.
    • May require travel to customer site
  • Monitor the field performance of products and aid in the resolution of any issues.
  • Feed back results from installation and maintenance to Motive’s Engineering team and coordinate resolution of issues.
  • Analyze returned materials to aid in fault identification and resolution
  • Aid in the introduction of new products by helping to prepare Motive’s systems and teams as new products are readied for launch:
    • Help train sales and support personnel
    • Help with alpha/beta testing
    • Work with logistics team to implement processes for material return from customers

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 5+ years of experience in the product development and field service of electronic products
  • Experience should include direct support of customers including on-site aid in installation and maintenance
  • A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Experience in an automotive setting is highly desirable
