Job Description
As a Technical Writer at Brambles Digital, you will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products and the customer experience. You will work collaboratively with software engineers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.
MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The role requires creating technical documentation, including but not limited to, release notes, user guides, and online help, for various Brambles Digital software applications in the supply chain management space.
- Work within a small team of technical writers and with wider internal teams in a matrix environment to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products and the documentation requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience, using help authoring tools such as MadCap Flare.
- Review user interface text for various software applications and conduct terminology research where required.
- Contribute to and review content for data dictionaries and glossaries.
- Communicate and work with cross functional teams from software engineers, quality engineers, product managers, and UX designers, using different tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Prioritize the deliverables based on version release schedules, work independently and manage your time, as well as organize feedback and review of the produced content by suitable SME’s.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of software tech writing experience.
- Knowledge of industrial supply chain network, cloud, IOT space – nice to have.
- Cross functional experience and effective communication.
- Working experience in a global and diverse cultural organization.
- Madcap Flare or any other similar Help Authoring Tools (HAT) – must have.
- Experience in working with JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with CSS and HTML
- Bitbucket (for source control and backup) - nice to have.
- Amazon AWS - for publishing help content - nice to have.
- Image capturing tools.
